Job Overview
Bridge Path Partners is recruiting on behalf of its client, Livs Interior, for an Upholstery Supervisor / Quality Control Lead. The successful candidate will oversee daily upholstery production, coordinate artisans, manage materials, and ensure that furniture projects meet the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules with the upstream production team.
- Supervise daily upholstery and finishing activities.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards.
- Inspect foam cutting, stitching, piping, tufting, and finishing.
- Interpret furniture sketches and guide artisans during production.
- Liaise with clients on fabric selection and swatches.
- Procure upholstery materials and maintain stock records.
- Monitor material usage and reduce waste.
- Train, supervise, and manage artisans to maintain high performance.
- Conduct quality checks before finishing and delivery.
- Coordinate with carpentry and finishing teams to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, materials used, and timelines.
- Ensure the workshop environment is organised, safe, and efficient.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in furniture manufacturing or upholstery.
- Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, fabrics, foam, and furniture construction.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage artisans and enforce standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to generate and interpret furniture sketches and designs.
- Ability to read technical drawings and dimensions.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Female candidates aged 30 years and above are preferred.
- Reside around the Yaba axis, Lagos, or be able to commute easily.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Full-time availability.
