Job Summary
The Warehouse Executive will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, management, and dispatch of automobile spare parts. The role requires maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting supply chain activities, and ensuring that warehouse operations meet required safety, quality, and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Inspection
- Receive incoming automobile spare parts and verify their quantity, quality, and accuracy.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies.
- Report any issues with received items to the appropriate supervisor.
Storage and Organisation
- Arrange and store spare parts in an organised and accessible manner.
- Properly label and categorise parts according to type and usage.
- Ensure appropriate stacking and storage practices are followed.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory data remains accurate and up to date.
Dispatch and Delivery
- Coordinate the picking, packing, and dispatch of spare parts.
- Supply parts to service teams, branches, and customers as required.
- Ensure orders are accurately prepared and delivered on time.
Warehouse Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow warehouse safety procedures.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare reports on stock levels, stock movements, damages, and delivery status.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse transactions.
- Ensure relevant warehouse documentation is properly maintained.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of spare parts.
- Support the training and guidance of junior warehouse personnel when required.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of automobile spare parts handling and inventory control.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
- Ability to safely lift and move inventory items when required.
