Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect products delivered to the warehouse.
  • Verify quantities, product descriptions, batch numbers and expiry dates against delivery documents.
  • Arrange and store products according to category, brand and expiry dates.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock received, issued, transferred and returned.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO principles are followed when arranging and issuing products.
  • Prepare stock issue notes, transfer notes and other warehouse documents.
  • Release products only with proper authorisation and documentation.
  • Monitor daily stock movement and report discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile stock with system records.
  • Identify and report damaged, expired, short-dated or leaking products.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of FMCG products.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
  • Monitor warehouse space and ensure products are easily accessible.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of goods.
  • Coordinate with the Sales and Accounts Departments on stock availability and movements.
  • Monitor returned products and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with periodic stock-taking and audits.
  • Restrict unauthorised access to warehouse stock.
  • Report stock shortages, excesses, damages and other irregularities to Management.
  • Maintain proper warehouse records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company warehouse procedures and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management.
