Job Summary

The Welder will be responsible for welding and assembling metal pieces and products using handheld welding equipment. The role involves setting up parts for welding and using hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures while working from specifications, drawings and weld symbols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all measurements and drawings are accurately followed.
  • Source materials required for assigned projects.
  • Measure and cut materials according to specifications.
  • Weld materials using the appropriate techniques and materials to join metals.
  • Ensure efficient use of management time and resources.
  • Keep the work section properly arranged before the end of each working day.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure it falls within the tolerances specified in the blueprints.
  • Complete fabrication work to the required quality and within the given timeframe.
  • Take steps to reduce errors during construction and fabrication.
  • Meet assigned daily production targets.
  • Demonstrate the ability to weld pipes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Trade Test Certificate.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
