Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day activities and operational management of the cinema.
- Support the Business Manager in improving retail profitability by maximising revenue per head (RPH) and minimising shrinkage and wastage.
- Monitor operational costs and support the effective management of controllable expenses, third-party contractors and team members.
- Plan, execute and supervise operational activities within the cinema.
- Identify opportunities to improve cinema operations and provide regular feedback to the Business Manager and colleagues.
- Champion the needs of guests and team members to maintain a positive customer experience and working environment.
- Maximise employee performance through teamwork, motivation, coaching and performance management.
- Handle administrative duties, prepare staff shift rotas and organise staff remuneration.
- Work with the Film Booking Department to develop performance schedules that support business plan objectives.
- Drive daily retail profitability through effective revenue management and the reduction of losses and waste.
- Monitor cinema attendance and ensure weekly and periodic audience targets are achieved.
- Maintain appropriate health and safety standards across cinema operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in operations management at a supervisory level. Retail experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer relationship and management skills.
- Strong teamwork, multitasking and adaptability.
- Ability to keep up with industry trends and apply relevant knowledge to daily operations.
- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
