The Prep 500 Operator is responsible for preparing soya beans for efficient extraction at SEP500 while ensuring that all preparation activities meet production, quality, occupational safety and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect all equipment at the start of each shift.
- Monitor and control cooker-exit moisture and flake thickness within the required limits.
- Maintain the percentage of uncracked beans below 2%.
- Monitor extractor speed through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and maintain the required speed to achieve production targets.
- Inspect and clean seed cleaners and destoners at the required intervals.
- Keep machinery clean and properly lubricated while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Assist with the maintenance and overhaul of machines and equipment as required.
- Report unsafe conditions promptly to the supervisor and comply with workplace safety requirements.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of an O’Level certificate or a Trade Test qualification.
- At least two years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in oilseed processing or a similar production environment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to monitor production processes effectively.
- Ability to operate and monitor production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to identify and report equipment, workplace safety and food safety issues.
- Good housekeeping practices and a commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and comply with GMP, safety and FSMS requirements.
