Job Description
Shawsand Medical Centre is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and responsible Housekeeper to join its team and help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital premises.
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, corridors, washrooms, and other designated areas.
- Properly handle and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital hygiene and safety procedures.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly used and maintained.
- Report maintenance issues, spills, damaged equipment, or other hazards promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience in cleaning homes, offices, hospitals, or similar environments.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work responsibly, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be hardworking, trustworthy, punctual, and attentive to detail.
