Account Officer
Location: Mushin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦300,000 monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily reports from all outlets, including the cash receipt office.
- Compare daily reports from the headquarters and outlets with invoices raised, identify and investigate variances, and report findings to the Executive Director.
- Monitor and post approved credit notes, debit notes, discounts and customer refunds.
- Perform daily reconciliation of the POS ledger on Tally and make necessary journal postings.
- Post, maintain and reconcile company bank accounts, including UBA and Zenith accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a retail or similar industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Tally.
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills.
- Good understanding of Nigerian accounting regulations and tax laws.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages may be an advantage.
- Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
