Garki Hospital Abuja is a healthcare institution owned by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). Following its closure in 2001 for full renovation, a concession agreement for the management and operation of the hospital was signed between the FCTA and Nisa Premier Hospital in March 2007, following a competitive bidding process under the Federal Government’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy.
Today, Garki Hospital Abuja operates as a 100-plus-bed hospital in the Federal Capital Territory, providing both general and specialised healthcare services. The hospital continues to break barriers and set standards in healthcare delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant, preferably ICAN, or an equivalent recognised professional qualification.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant post-professional qualification experience in accounting or finance.
- Good knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong numerical, analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills, with high standards of accuracy and integrity.
