Garki Hospital Abuja is a healthcare institution owned by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). Following its closure in 2001 for full renovation, a concession agreement for the management and operation of the hospital was signed between the FCTA and Nisa Premier Hospital in March 2007, following a competitive bidding process under the Federal Government’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy.
Today, Garki Hospital Abuja operates as a 100-plus-bed hospital in the Federal Capital Territory, providing both general and specialised healthcare services. The hospital continues to break barriers and set standards in healthcare delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant, preferably membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), or an equivalent recognised professional body.
- A minimum of 10–13 years of relevant post-professional qualification experience in accounting, financial management or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, treasury management, account reconciliation and regulatory compliance.
- Sound knowledge of applicable accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
