Job Summary
The Audit Manager will oversee internal audit activities across the station’s financial and operational processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls and compliance with applicable regulations. The successful candidate will identify risks, recommend improvements and strengthen governance and accountability within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute financial, operational and compliance audits.
- Review internal controls and assess the accuracy of financial records and reports.
- Analyse financial statements, identify risk areas and recommend corrective measures.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Coordinate audit schedules and prepare audit documentation and reports.
- Work closely with finance and accounting teams to improve financial processes.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Support regulatory compliance and contribute to policy development.
- Promote effective governance, accountability and risk management across the organisation.
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIA are highly beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and internal controls.
- Experience in financial audits, financial statement preparation, review and reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and evaluate risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations.
- Experience in media, broadcasting or a similarly dynamic industry is an advantage.
