Job Description
Air Peace Limited is recruiting a Battery Shop Supervisor to supervise and perform aircraft battery maintenance in accordance with OEM-approved documentation, company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and supervise aircraft battery maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with battery maintenance systems, processes and procedures.
- Establish daily maintenance priorities to achieve operational readiness targets.
- Oversee battery shop tools and maintenance resources.
- Work within established maintenance quality control processes and standards.
- Conduct on-the-job training for technicians as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems.
- Issue purchase requisitions for required materials and parts.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, technician hours and materials used.
- Assign, schedule and coordinate personnel activities.
- Troubleshoot, tune, repair and overhaul aircraft batteries.
- Maintain safety and security within the battery shop.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Workshop Manager.
Key Performance Indicators
- Achieve at least 95% battery serviceability and availability.
- Maintain quality standards for component and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure proper use of maintenance materials and consumables.
- Train 100% of battery technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Avionics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an aviation electrician.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aircraft battery maintenance.
- Aviation avionics/electrician training or certification.
- Strong supervisory experience.
- Good knowledge of SAFT and ACME battery maintenance.
- Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in aircraft technical manuals, maintenance forms and related documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to lift and move up to 22 kg repeatedly.
