The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, working to prevent and alleviate human suffering globally. The Health and Care Department’s New Strategic Direction 2023 emphasizes Health Systems Strengthening and WASH Systems Strengthening.
Job Purpose: To support a technical review workshop of the IG for insecticide-treated net mass campaigns in Nigeria and assist in finalizing the IG, annexes, and toolkit.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Specific objectives:
- Review the campaign implementation guidelines and address outstanding questions.
- Support the review and finalization of IG annexes.
- Facilitate a five-day workshop, including planning and material development.
- Assist in finalizing IG and key annexes based on stakeholder inputs.
- Review toolkit and identify necessary updates.
Deliverables:
- Updated and finalized IG and annexes.
- Workshop summary report with recommendations.
- Toolkit review summary.
Alignment to IFRC’s Objectives: The role supports IFRC’s Strategy 2030 by scaling up malaria prevention with ITNs, ensuring universal coverage and strategic alignment.
Support Provided: The consultant will receive support from the Manager – Malaria Programmes and Officer, Country Support.
Consultancy Timeframe: 1st August to 30th November 2024, including 12 days of travel to Nigeria.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 7 years of ITN campaign planning and implementation experience.
- Strong project management skills and experience with large-scale funding partners.
- Proficiency in writing campaign documents and managing stakeholder expectations.
Knowledge, Skills and Languages Required:
- Fluent in English (written, spoken).
- Ability to work independently and within diverse teams.
