Job Description
Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) Nigeria is recruiting a Custody Sales Manager to drive business growth, strengthen client relationships and deliver high-quality client coverage across its custody product portfolio.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing strategic client relationships, coordinating client onboarding and identifying opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the custody sales and client coverage strategy.
- Generate new business and manage the sales pipeline.
- Manage and deepen relationships with existing clients.
- Coordinate new client onboarding and account opening processes.
- Develop client calling plans and conduct relationship reviews.
- Identify client needs, resolve issues and ensure quality service delivery.
- Promote custody products including direct custody, international custody, broker clearing, fund services and fiduciary services.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across the wider bank.
- Prepare RFPs, RFIs, due diligence questionnaires and client proposals.
- Monitor market developments, regulatory changes and competitor activities.
- Provide accurate pipeline, revenue and client activity reports.
- Collaborate with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance and other internal teams.
- Support continuous improvement and enhance the competitiveness of the custody business.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Requirements
- B.Com degree or equivalent qualification.
- 5–8 years of relevant post-graduation experience, preferably in custody, securities services, transaction banking or financial services.
- Sound knowledge of banking regulations, financial accounting and taxation.
- Knowledge of payments, clearing and settlement systems, credit risk, treasury products and process improvement is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management and client service skills.
- Strong analytical, commercial and financial acumen.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and across multiple teams.
- Strong ethical judgement, integrity and risk awareness.
- Good organisational, decision-making and execution skills.
