Job Description
Mikano International Limited is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to handle the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of diesel generators ranging from 20kVA and above.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and test diesel generators from 20kVA to 500kVA.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in generators, control panels and ATS/AMF systems.
- Perform load testing, performance checks and system inspections.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, company policies and Nigerian electrical standards.
- Provide technical support to clients and respond to emergency breakdowns.
- Work closely with mechanical engineers and field technicians.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc. in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- COREN certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with diesel generators of 20kVA and above.
- Strong knowledge of generator electrical systems and control panels.
- Good experience in the installation of generator sets.
- Experience with ATS/AMF panels and basic synchronisation.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot faults.
- Knowledge of earthing, load management and protection systems.
