Avetium Consult is recruiting to fill the position of Finance and Operations Officer in Lagos. The successful candidate will oversee financial records, budgeting, payroll, financial reporting and administrative operations while supporting the efficient management of the company’s resources and business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily transaction records, ledgers, invoices and receipts.
- Assist in planning, monitoring and overseeing departmental and company-wide budgets to prevent overspending.
- Perform bank reconciliations, track cash flow and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits, manage tax documentation and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Oversee payroll processing, employee expense claims and vendor payments.
- Evaluate operational workflows and develop policies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Monitor operational costs, profit margins, inventory and resource allocation.
- Maintain positive relationships with external suppliers, banks, auditors and service providers.
- Assist with human resources administration, including onboarding, policy enforcement and record-keeping.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Operations Management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance, operations or accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Good communication skills.
