Job Description
The Fleet & Logistics Officer will assist in managing day-to-day logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. The role involves coordinating with various departments, managing documentation and supporting the logistics team in maintaining high operational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Assign and schedule vehicles for daily operations.
- Maintain records of vehicle usage and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate drivers and conduct compliance checks.
- Record and monitor fleet performance data.
Logistics Operations – Nationwide Distribution
- Track deliveries and update logistics movement reports.
- Coordinate product dispatch and delivery schedules.
- Support communication with third-party logistics providers.
- Maintain delivery records and reporting documentation.
Travel Management
- Assist with booking flights, accommodation and transportation.
- Maintain travel records and expense documentation.
- Support compliance with travel policies.
Raw Materials Operations
- Track the movement of raw materials from suppliers to the factory.
- Assist in verifying deliveries and related documentation.
- Maintain transit and inventory records.
- Support coordination with transporters and warehouses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain or a related field.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of logistics software and ERP systems such as Odoo is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
