GZ Industries (GZI) is a leading aluminium beverage can manufacturer in West Africa, committed to quality, innovation, sustainability, and serving leading beverage brands across Africa. GZI is an indigenous company owned by Standard Chartered Private Equity, a group of four individual investors, Verod Capital Management, and Ashmore Private Equity. Its manufacturing facility is located at Agbara Industrial Estate in Ogun State, approximately 45 kilometres from Lagos.The GZI factory was commissioned in August 2010 to manufacture aluminium beverage cans for brewers and bottling companies in Nigeria and other West African countries. By 2012, the facility had reached a production capacity of 1.2 billion cans per year. Located on a 46,000-square-metre site, the factory features world-class, state-of-the-art equipment sourced from Europe and the United States. The facility also has space for future manufacturing expansion and the potential addition of a can-filling line. GZI employs Nigerian and expatriate personnel and continues to explore opportunities for expansion into other locations.
