Job Description
The Internal Auditor will oversee the audit cycle, assess business risks and controls, evaluate financial documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and control the full audit cycle, including risk and control management.
- Review and evaluate accounting documentation.
- Prepare and present audit reports.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend risk reduction and cost-saving measures.
- Keep up to date with relevant regulations, industry practices, tools and standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good independent judgement and critical-thinking ability.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and financial statement preparation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must reside in Uyo.
