JC International is recruiting to fill the position of IT Officer (NYSC) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Job Summary
The IT Officer (NYSC) will provide first-line technical support to employees and assist with the maintenance, monitoring and efficient operation of the company’s IT systems, computer hardware, software and digital infrastructure.
The successful candidate will support routine IT operations, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain IT equipment and assist in ensuring the security and reliability of the company’s technology resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic technical support to employees on computer hardware, software, printers and other IT equipment.
- Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems and approved software.
- Support the monitoring and troubleshooting of network connectivity and internet access.
- Assist with user account administration, access permissions and routine IT system maintenance.
- Support data backup procedures and compliance with the company’s IT security policies.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, software and related assets.
- Document reported IT issues, troubleshooting activities and resolutions.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate IT personnel.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
- Must be a serving NYSC Corps Member eligible for primary assignment.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to provide technical support and work effectively with other employees.
