Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos, with travel across Nigeria

Portfolio: TVS products, including two-wheelers for commercial and personal use and three-wheelers
Salary: N1,000,000 monthly

Role Purpose

The Marketing Manager will translate TVS portfolio objectives into effective local marketing activities, dealer support and customer demand across Nigeria.

TVS, as the principal, leads national advertising across ATL and online channels, while this role will own the company’s local marketing plan and coordinate its execution within approved budgets.

The Head of Marketing retains overall departmental leadership and TVS portfolio oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual and quarterly local marketing plans for the TVS portfolio, covering commercial two-wheelers, personal-use two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
  • Coordinate with the TVS principal on national campaigns, approved assets and brand standards.
  • Translate national campaigns into relevant local activities without duplicating the principal’s advertising responsibilities.
  • Plan dealer activations, roadshows, demonstrations, test rides, local partnerships and approved local media activities.
  • Develop clear campaign briefs, budgets, responsibilities and delivery timelines.
  • Agree regional priorities with the Regional Marketing Lead and monitor execution through a shared activity calendar.
  • Resolve competing regional requirements through the Head of Marketing.
  • Brief design and social media teams on campaign requirements.
  • Secure necessary approvals and ensure accurate and consistent product messaging across dealer and customer touchpoints.
  • Work with Sales to establish lead qualification and handover processes.
  • Track accepted enquiries and follow-up activities and use cost, lead quality and customer feedback to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage the marketing workstream for product launches and promotions.
  • Coordinate dealer materials and marketing readiness with Sales, Product and the TVS principal.
  • Control approved marketing expenditure and maintain accurate forecasts and supplier documentation.
  • Report campaign results and recommend opportunities for reallocating marketing investment.
  • Monitor customer, dealer and competitor activity and recommend responses to market opportunities.
  • Escalate stock, pricing and sales follow-up constraints to the appropriate business teams.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional marketing qualification is an advantage.
  • 7–10 years of relevant marketing experience, including substantial responsibility for campaigns, budgets and cross-functional delivery.
  • Stronger equivalent experience may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive, mobility, dealer-led distribution or a comparable consumer and trade marketing environment.
  • Proven ability to use campaign data and lead-management information to improve local marketing performance.
  • Experience coordinating suppliers and multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel across Nigeria.

Key Performance Indicators

Qualified Demand

  • Number of unique, valid marketing-generated leads accepted by Sales against the agreed TVS portfolio target.
  • Qualification rules and targets will be agreed with Sales and the line manager within the first 30 days using available baseline evidence.
  • Evidence will be based on CRM records or a controlled lead register with agreed qualification and attribution rules.

Cost per Qualified Lead

  • Attributable campaign spend divided by unique Sales-accepted qualified leads attributed to the relevant campaigns.
  • Performance will be assessed using the agreed attribution window.
  • Evidence will be based on Finance spend records and CRM or lead-register data.
  • The cost ceiling will be agreed within the first 30 days using baseline evidence.
  • Campaigns that incur expenditure but generate no accepted leads will be reported as unsuccessful rather than recorded as having zero cost per lead.

Campaign Delivery

  • Percentage of agreed campaign milestones accepted by the relevant owner on or before their due dates.
  • Performance will be measured against the approved marketing plan and milestone approvals.
  • The delivery target will be agreed with the line manager within the first 30 days using baseline evidence.
  • Only milestones due within the relevant reporting period will be assessed.
