Role Context
The NCG Lead Agent will lead a team of NCG Agents responsible for ensuring that flight alerts, pre-alerts, paperwork, movements, and MAWBs are executed promptly and in compliance with DHL Global SOPs and airline requirements.
The role involves monitoring non-compliant shipments, coordinating exception handling at the Lagos Hub, responding to network trace requests, and ensuring that service, cost, safety, and legal requirements are maintained.

Join NowThe successful candidate will also support shipment visibility by ensuring that all required checkpoints and standard remarks are completed in line with GSOP standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and close daily movements on OCNT.
- Monitor and track inbound network data to ensure timely receipt for sorting operations.
- Monitor and action network traces, queries, and service incidents, both local and international.
- Compile and submit daily Global Hub Executive reports covering the previous 24 hours of Hub operations.
- Update HUB systems, including OCNT, OPMS, and CALMS, ensuring all required transmissions are sent and received on time.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry to facilitate smooth sorting and scanning operations.
- Monitor the handling of Off-Net shipments and ensure their uplift.
- Control the communication and processing of non-conforming shipments received at the Lagos Hub, including damaged, undeclared dangerous goods, overweight, and oversized shipments.
- Provide instructions to Operations on network requests involving exception handling, including RTO and Service Change.
- Action all GEMA and email traces and queries for the Lagos Hub.
- Ensure compliance with Network Operating Standards and all GSOP procedures applicable to the Lagos Hub NCG Department.
- Compile and distribute daily NCG reports providing an overview of the previous 24 hours of operations.
- Ensure DHL Network, country, and customer enquiries, special requests, traces, and service incidents are resolved promptly and proactively.
- Ensure all shipments in the Lost & Found cage are processed in accordance with ISO and DHL Global SOP requirements.
- Ensure damaged shipments are processed and reported in accordance with ISO and DHL procedures.
- Send service updates promptly to support the timely movement of materials.
- Liaise with other departments to communicate flight changes, operational problems, and other relevant information.
- Ensure the commercial booking and recovery process is followed and CALMS is updated accurately and promptly.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc or equivalent in any discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft characteristics and limitations.
- Knowledge of aviation Standard Operating Procedures and Network Standard Requirements.
Experience and Knowledge
- At least 3 years of operational experience gained across various DHL departments or relevant airline experience.
