Job Purpose
To treat wastewater and operate the Waste Water Treatment Plant to prevent environmental pollution and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate the wastewater treatment plant and its processes.
- Conduct daily checks on the plant’s Critical Control Points.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
- Mix chemicals used in wastewater treatment processes.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the plant remains clean and orderly.
- Ensure the availability of chemicals and other materials required for plant operations.
- Maintain a daily log of activities in and around the plant.
- Ensure discharged water meets applicable safety and regulatory requirements to protect the surrounding environment.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of others while carrying out assigned duties.
- Comply with Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements within the assigned work processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of five credits in O’Level examinations, a Trade Test certificate, City & Guilds (C&G) qualification, or an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Sciences or Engineering.
- At least two years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
