Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: N165,000 monthly
Responsibilities
- Take proper stock and conduct regular audits of drugs in the pharmacy.
- Dispense medications to both inpatients and outpatients.
- Fill and label medical containers appropriately.
- Ensure the proper dispensing of all medications.
- Check prescriptions for errors and ensure they are appropriate and safe for individual patients.
- Provide advice on medication dosage and the most appropriate form of medication, including tablets, injections, ointments and inhalers.
- Maintain sufficient stock of all required medications.
- Detail medicines to doctors, nurses, interns and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage the requisition of medicines and other pharmaceutical supplies.
- Check the quality and sources of drugs before dispensing.
- Keep up to date with technical developments, particularly those that can save time and improve reliability.
- Ensure compliance with standard pharmacy safety measures and procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess an HND qualification.
- 2–4 years of relevant work experience is required.
