Job Summary
Sayed Farms Limited is seeking a competent Project Accountant to oversee the financial management, cost monitoring, and reporting of company projects. The successful candidate will ensure accurate project accounting, effective budgetary control, proper documentation of project expenditures, and compliance with company financial policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
- Prepare project financial reports, cost analyses, budget variance reports, and expenditure summaries.
- Track project-related expenses, commitments, invoices, payments, and outstanding liabilities.
- Ensure accurate recording and allocation of project costs in line with approved budgets and accounting standards.
- Reconcile project accounts, supplier statements, payment schedules, and supporting financial documents.
- Work closely with the Projects, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance teams to validate project costs and monitor spending.
- Support project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or agribusiness.
- ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
