Koolboks is a sustainable cooling solutions startup that designs and distributes solar-powered refrigeration products, including freezers, chillers and ice makers. Its solutions are designed to serve communities and small businesses across Africa where access to reliable electricity can be limited.
The company is recruiting a Repossession Officer to support its recovery operations in Abuja. The successful candidate will handle field-based recovery activities, customer follow-up and the recovery of company assets from customers with delinquent accounts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits and follow up with customers on outstanding obligations.
- Locate and recover company assets from customers with delinquent accounts.
- Manage assigned recovery cases and ensure timely resolution.
- Engage customers professionally to negotiate repayment or recovery arrangements.
- Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate successful recoveries.
- Maintain accurate records of recovery activities, customer interactions and recovered assets.
- Prepare regular reports on assigned accounts, recovery progress and outstanding cases.
- Ensure recovery activities are carried out professionally and in line with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Escalate difficult or sensitive cases appropriately.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in loan recovery, debt collection, asset recovery, repossession or a related role.
- Experience handling field recovery activities is an added advantage.
- Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult customer situations professionally.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet recovery targets.
- Must be based in Abuja or willing to work from Abuja.
- A valid driver’s licence and ability to navigate Abuja independently would be an advantage.
