About Nigerian Ports Authority

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is a Federal Government agency responsible for the administration, regulation, and operation of Nigeria’s major seaports. Its port facilities include the Lagos Port Complex, Lekki Deep Sea Port, Tin Can Island Port Complex, Calabar Port Complex, Delta Ports in Warri, and the Rivers and Onne Port Complexes.

Operating under the Federal Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy, the NPA works alongside other government agencies and stakeholders to facilitate efficient maritime operations, trade, and port services across Nigeria.

The Nigerian Ports Authority is seeking qualified, innovative, and high-performing professionals to join its workforce as Senior Marine Officers / Engineers.

Job Summary

The Senior Marine Officer / Engineer will be responsible for supporting marine and port-related operations while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of the Authority’s maritime activities.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Class 2 Certificate of Competency (Deck).
  • Chief Mate Unlimited or 1st Mate Certificate.
  • Seafarers Medical Certificate.
  • Applicants must be between 25 and 35 years of age.

Salary

The position is placed on SSS 2 (GL 10).
