Job Summary
OPay Microfinance Bank is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Treasury Manager to oversee its treasury operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining adequate liquidity, managing investments, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee bank account reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely preparation of bank reports.
- Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity to ensure financial obligations are met.
- Ensure adequate funds are available for ongoing operational needs and capital investments.
- Prepare treasury reports while maintaining compliance with internal controls, treasury policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the management of investments, including treasury bills, fixed deposits, and mutual funds.
- Monitor investments and provide recommendations on whether to roll them over or terminate them at maturity.
- Work closely with the CFO and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Perform other treasury-related duties assigned by the CFO.
Requirements and Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in treasury management or a similar finance position.
- Experience within financial services, fintech, or digital banking is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of treasury operations, cash management, and investment instruments.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and treasury management systems.
- Good knowledge of CBN regulations and financial compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ACA, ACCA, CFA, CTP, or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
