Role Overview

The Sourcing Executive will manage procurement sourcing activities for Nigeria while supporting selected Sub-Saharan African (SSA) markets when required. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to deliver value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimisation, risk mitigation and procurement compliance while maintaining supply continuity.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities for Nigeria and support SSA markets where applicable.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement solutions.
• Drive sourcing strategies, supplier selection processes and commercial negotiations.
• Manage supplier performance, risk, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with BAT procurement policies, governance requirements and contractual obligations.
• Support cost-saving, value creation and supply assurance initiatives.
• Provide procurement market intelligence and commercial insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with regional and global procurement teams to implement category strategies.
• Manage sourcing projects and supplier relationships effectively.
• Support the achievement of business and procurement objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain or Category Management.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse market and supplier data.
• Experience managing sourcing projects and supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of procurement governance, contracting and risk management processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of SAP or Coupa is an added advantage.
