Job Summary

The Warehouse Checker will facilitate the inventory process, ensure accurate invoicing and crediting of empties, support stock counts, and maintain governance and customer service standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Environmental Standards

  • Ensure that company and legal stacking regulations are adhered to.
  • Maintain site housekeeping standards.
  • Wear the correct PPE at all times as designated by the site and work area.
  • Ensure full implementation and adherence to VPO and DPO protocols.

Loading and Unloading Activities

  • Use load summaries to load the correct quantities of split and full pallets.
  • Ensure products are loaded and unloaded according to established processes.
  • Count all products at both loading and unloading locations.
  • Ensure delivery documents are duly signed and issued.

Stock Quality Management

  • Ensure adherence to warehouse stock-age standards by applying stock rotation principles.
  • Maintain quality control by checking product packaging on the warehouse floor before loading.
  • Ensure full implementation and adherence to VPO and DPO protocols.

Inventory Management

  • Participate in handover processes before and after every shift.
  • Conduct accurate daily stock counts and ensure they are duly signed off.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the Inventory Analyst/Clerk and/or Stocks and Settlement Officer.

Cost Control

  • Observe the standard provided for fuel usage per hour and reduce idling time and excessive braking.
  • Help eliminate breakages and missing bottles by following safe driving principles.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of OND in a relevant course.

Key Attributes and Competencies

  • Computer literacy.
  • SAP literacy.
  • Good self-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt effectively to change.
  • Good mathematical skills.
