Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, safety and efficiency of the plant’s electrical systems, including industrial three-phase motors, electrical control panels and production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, install and maintain electrical control panels.
• Install, monitor and maintain industrial three-phase electric motors.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on production equipment.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance and Production teams.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Evaluate and improve the reliability, safety and efficiency of electrical systems.
• Recommend and implement modifications or upgrades to enhance plant efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• BSc or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing plant electrical maintenance.
• FMCG experience is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of industrial three-phase motors, electrical control panels and plant electrical systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
