The company is recruiting qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Crane Operator.

Job Summary

The Crane Operator will be responsible for operating cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures. The successful candidates will support heavy material lifting and transfer operations, inspect equipment for safety issues, and handle lifting activities at construction sites and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cranes safely and efficiently in line with company policies and procedures.
• Support the lifting and transfer of heavy materials.
• Manipulate crane controls to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movements according to written, verbal or signal instructions.
• Inspect cranes daily to identify safety issues and determine whether any components are malfunctioning.
• Complete job tickets, service quality summaries and other necessary documentation.
• Lift, position and place machinery, equipment and other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5–10 years of proven hands-on experience operating mobile cranes, crawler cranes or other relevant heavy-duty lifting equipment.
• Relevant technical training or certification in Crane Operation, Heavy Equipment Operation, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Valid Crane Operator Certificate of Competency issued by the relevant Nigerian regulatory authority, in line with the Lifting and Allied Work Equipment (Safety) Regulations, 2018.
• Demonstrable experience operating the specific crane type and lifting capacity being applied for.
• Strong understanding of crane mechanics, hydraulic systems, hoisting mechanisms, load-bearing components and equipment operating principles.
• Practical knowledge of crane load charts, Safe Working Load (SWL), lifting capacities, boom configurations, load radius and equipment limitations.
