Golden Penny Foods is a food manufacturing business under Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN), a leading Nigerian food and agro-allied company.

The company is recruiting qualified candidates to fill the position of Shift Packing Supervisor B2B at its Apapa facility.

Job Purpose

The Shift Packing Supervisor B2B will supervise and coordinate shift packing, loading and dispatch operations to achieve production targets, maintain product quality, ensure equipment efficiency and enforce compliance with safety, hygiene and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily packing and loading activities by allocating tasks, managing workflow and ensuring achievement of shift production and dispatch targets.
• Supervise and guide Packing Machine Operators and third-party staff to ensure efficient operations, productivity and teamwork.
• Monitor packing machine performance and promptly address operational bottlenecks, breakdowns and other disruptions to minimise downtime.
• Ensure accurate bag weights, correct product coding, proper stitching and compliance with packaging specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor packing and loading output, product rejects, rework and wastage to improve operational efficiency and minimise losses.
• Enforce compliance with company safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, sanitation and housekeeping requirements.
• Investigate safety incidents, accidents and near misses, and ensure implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Science or a related discipline.
• Five O’ Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
• At least two years’ relevant experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of packing and loading operations, packaging materials and production processes.
• Strong attention to detail when monitoring bag weights, product coding, stitching and finished-product quality.
• Good technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational bottlenecks.
